Pastor Rod gave his heart to the Lord as a young child and in the early 1970’s, he and his family came to San Francisco Christian Center and have been a part of the ministry ever since. After serving in various ministries, he became the College, Youth, and Children’s Pastor in 1993.

While he has received extensive formal ministry training at Fellowship Bible Institute, Golden Gate Seminary and the Southern California School of Theology his most significant education has been under the mentorship of Bishop Donald E. Green (SFCC Pastor Emeritus) who has been and continues to be a father to him in ministry and in life. In 2010, he became the senior pastor of SFCC. Pastor Rod and his wife, Donyelle, have been married for 38 years, enjoying the richness of their lives together as husband and wife and co-laborers in ministry. They have two adult children, Jasmine and Roderick.

A native of San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury and Bayview districts, Pastor Ivan’s journey is a powerful testament to redemption. After rededicating his life to Christ at the San Francisco Christian Center in 2003, he turned his past as a troubled youth into a mission of hope, serving on the Juvenile Justice Commission to mentor at-risk youth.

Driven by a heart for restoration, he has led Men’s Bible Study and Children’s Church with a focus on helping others find their true identity in Christ. A lifelong learner, he holds a BFA from the California College of the Arts and is pursuing a Master of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary.

Ordained into pastoral ministry in 2019, Pastor Ivan serves alongside his wife, Cristal, and their two children. Together, they are devoted to lifting up their community through faith, education, and unwavering service.

Our Beliefs

SFCC Mission Statement and Purpose

The means through which we seek to glorify God are:

Communicating the truth of God's Word through public proclamation.

Discipling believers by encouraging them to study the scriptures, devote time to prayer and fellowship with other believers, and emulate the life and character of Jesus Christ.

Educating men and women in the discovery and use their spiritual gifts for ministry in the Kingdom of God.

Evangelizing and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ locally and abroad.

Providing a holistic ministry to all by seeking to meet physical, social, mental and spiritual needs.

The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), the Greatest Commandments (Mark 12:29-31) and the proclamation of the in-breaking of the Kingdom of God (Luke 4:18-19) serve as key Biblical mission statements for Christians of all ages as we seek to faithfully respond to the call and model of our Lord Jesus Christ. The purpose of SFCC is to glorify God and to lead all people into a kingdom mindset.
